This was unpleasant to read, as it is simply a stream of consciousness coming from a woman who is very self conscious at a party. despite how short the text is, it manages to explore some deep themes, such as social class. Very anxiety inducing, very Virginia Woolf. Do not recommend if you suffer from social anxiety.

had to read this one for my english class (which i dropped the first day). it was so boring and i'm not sure if i really understood what it really meant.
I read this one for my Comp class. I didn’t absolutely love it at first, but the more I get into it I’ve found it incredible. It has good material to write a literary analysis on
Ich bin halt genau wie sie (wir beiden fühlen uns in unseren Klamotten und Social Gatherings unwohl)
This short story like most of Virginia Wolf's short stories is just a peak into the life of a woman going to attend a party

This is what I have been expecting of Virginia Woolf and didn’t get in “Legacy”, because it isn’t clear what this story is about. Maybe it really is about the dress, but it is more about the society and the way people communicate with each other, about etiquette, about societal image and… about myriad of other things I didn’t get at all…
Virginia Woolf is one of the authors I want to get into for quite some time, but I still can’t get to it. So, I’m glad that I managed at least this little thing. I’ll definitely want to get to this short story again sometime in the future…
