This was a really good book. The author got some things about Wisconsin right, like how we call people from Illinois FIBs. He was wrong about calling Door County the pinkie of the hand. Door County is the thumb of the mitten. Take a look at the map and you'll see the mitten. The reader of this audio book spoke in an accent that made the people from Wisconsin sound like hicks. You won't get that accent in Wisconsin, you'll find that in the UP.

Excellent book. I really love this author. I have read all of his books. Try this one if you want a good thriller. It really keeps you on your toes. I couldn't figure out "who done it" and I read a lot of thrillers!

One of the best of the year for me for sure. (I know it was written 10 years ago but the year I read it is what counts.) 4th Brian Freeman book I've read in 2020 and they were all excellent (The Bone House, The Voice Inside, The Crooked Street & Thief River Falls). Why isn't anybody making these books into movies or tv series? Not that I'm complaining, I'm fine with the entertainment of the books themselves but they just all seem perfect as cinematic events with great locales, characters and the movie scenes already visualized. Anyway, I'm a fan! And now I see he's writing the new Jason Bourne series also.

Brian Freeman is one of my favorite new authors. The Bone House was exciting, mysterious, and fast paced. Another book that I could not put down. Incredible twists and turns in the plot. To the very end, each page brought more surprises and revelations! 5 stars +

I was kind of surprised that I liked this book as much as I did. It came to the point of not wanting to put the book down. It gets 5 stars, simply because I thought I had it all figured out, and I most certainly did not.

Didn't actually finish it yet... but I intend to. The introduction was very intriguing. Hesitant about the author's writing style but then again I only did read the first chapter.

This book was amazing! It isn't something I would normally pick up so I was really surprised that I liked it so much (it's not a genre I typically read). I will definitely be checking out more books by this guy!

Maybe I didn't give this one enough of a chance. I suppose it could have been almost a 4-star, but I just couldn't get myself onto The Bone House train. This read like a boatload of mental damage, bathed in closed-mindedness. No, thanks. Also, the protagonist (is Cab the protagonist? it's debatable) isn't very sympathetic. Wah wah, poor little rich boy who is brilliant in everything but his ability to manage relationships. Because that hasn't been done before...

Very happy to find a new mystery series! This one had plenty of twists and turns. Very interesting central characters, I am going back for more!
