2/5 ☆
the first half was basically all spice (which i’m not complaining about) & then the second half was all about her & selling her art with no consistency. not a fan. i was also promised dual narration & got none

Reviewing the whole series.
|3.5 stars|
Temperance and Kane have an unusual love story, but I was particularly surprised when the author drew us a picture that has a world full of good within Kane. He is the anti-hero. He is supposed to be ruthless, not emotionally driven, but strangely he is. He is also being controlled by Lachlan Mount (the one I sometimes adore) which gives him much less power, especially to make the world bow to him, or rather beg for mercy.
Temperance is sweet, falls apart easily and hardly has any opinions to give or decisions to make.
The love story is definitely sweet and adorable and Kane is all crazy and shit sometimes, but I found the plot and the characters weaker than usual.
Why 3.5? Because I am extremely fond of Meghan March's writing style. It most certainly kept me hooked until the second book in the Trilogy.
Also, two anti-heroes from the same city? Not a good idea. Looking for something different this time.

Savage Prince by Meghan March is book one of the Savage trilogy. I've read other series by Ms. March, so I had high hopes for this one and I was not disappointed. This novel opens with Temperance Ransom, the FMC, mistakenly finding herself in a s*x club, instead of at the business meeting she thought she was attending. From there (chapter one, y'all!!!) the sp!ce begins and continues throughout this delicious tale. Temperance ends up in the arms of a s3xy stranger who knows just what she craves and despite not learning the strangers name, Tempe manages to sp!ce things up with him another 2-3 times over the course of a several weeks.
From there this tale is full of mystery and intrigue as we bounce between the hard-knock upbringing that Tempe is doing her best to leave behind her while she tries to build a successful future as a respectable business partner in the present. Unfortunately things go sideways when her car is stolen and her brother, Rafe Ransom, goes AWOL. Is he missing? In hiding? Just stowed away for some much needed quiet time? As the questions and danger seem to mount, who can Tempe trust and how should she proceed?
Each audiobook in the Savage trilogy is approximately 5 hours long, so I think the trilogy could've been combined into one respectable length book. However, I understand that it is wise for the author to break a larger work up into multiple books so she can keep readers happy by publishing quicker and in turn be paid more for her hard work and art.
I really enjoyed listening to Grace Grant as the female narrator -- which is a good thing because the first 95% of the book is narrated solely by her. We don't get to hear from the smoking hot Joe Arden until the last 5% of the story when he leaves us with a cliffhanger bomb. So off to read book two, Iron Princess, of the Savage trilogy as quickly as my little feet can carry me.
