I got this recommendation from Chandler Ainsley in Youtube and she never disappoints. She’s always coming through with these recommendations! I loved this book and kinda the slight hate to love feel of the book. I’m in love with Malcom and trying to warm up to Yoon. Both are really good characters and have such a good dynamic. The progression of their relationship from I don’t like you to I think I could tolerate you went really smoothly. For the amount of books this series has, the progression of their relationship is really well done.
The mystery was really good, I felt like I was watching an episode of Criminal Minds. There’s even reference to the BAU by Yoon☺️(which I appreciated very much). I couldn’t figure out what was happening until towards the end so that was exciting because usually in these types of book I never really pay attention to the mystery while in this one I was fully invested.
Great book would recommend!

Ok, taking this as an introduction I think it works quite well. We get a taste of characterisation, a plot that maybe could have been better, but was still compelling enough to keep me reading, and a hint at a larger overarching theme for the series.
I guess the author’s intention is to treat this series like a tv drama. Interesting premise, let’s see if it works going forward.

A gay detective serial. Yes, please!! And with 29 books so far, I’m in for a really good binge.
Two very different detectives are paired up, and neither are thrilled about it. But they have more important things to worry about. Namely, someone killing young gay men.
The case is super interesting, as is watching these two (try) to get to know one another, but really, they barely scratch the surface. I can't wait to get to know more of their backstory. Not to mention see where things go with them.
I’m also here for all the crime drama. I’m a sucker for detective shows.
Which is why I’m glad it’s on audiobook. Narrated by Curt Bonnem who fit the style and mood of the story well.
I loved this so much?? omfg. I loved it so much. Absolutely scratched my Crime Horror itch, and it being really queer (and cathartic AF) just made it fit even more perfectly. I'll give an actual review later but just wanted to REGISTER MY *AAAAHHHHH*
