I raced through Hidden Pictures and couldn't pause until I knew the conclusion. The illustrations added intrigue but, like I tend to do with horror movies, I wound up rolling my eyes at several nonsensical situations. Overall, the mystery hidden within Teddy's pictures was a fun one to decode.

No clue why this novel has such high reviews. I really did not like it. The whole dad situation was weird, the addict thing was not well written, the neighbor was the best character and was barely in it!

“Hidden Pictures” is a compelling read that delves into the complexities of addiction, redemption, and the eerie realm of the supernatural. The narrative follows the journey of a young woman who battles her demons and emerges victorious, only to be entangled in a web of deceit and malevolent forces.

The protagonist’s transformation from a drug-addicted soul to a responsible caregiver is portrayed with authenticity and empathy, adding depth to her character arc. As she navigates her newfound role as a babysitter for a seemingly ordinary couple, the discovery of their sinister secret sets the stage for a gripping tale of suspense and intrigue.

The revelation that the child in her care has been stolen and manipulated into assuming a false identity adds a layer of psychological tension to the narrative. The exploration of themes such as identity, manipulation, and the consequences of past actions lends the story a thought-provoking quality that resonates with readers.

Central to the plot is the haunting presence that possesses the child, turning what initially appears to be a case of parental deception into a chilling supernatural mystery. The babysitter’s determination to uncover the truth and protect the innocent is both commendable and relatable, drawing readers deeper into the heart of the story.

With its well-paced plot, believable characters, and unexpected twists, “Hidden Pictures” is a testament to the author’s storytelling prowess. It’s a book that keeps readers on the edge of their seats until the very last page, offering a satisfying blend of thrills, emotion, and supernatural intrigue.

Up until the last part of the book is quite good, the ending was a bit flat for me.
