Ria is an actress in Mumbai. Who life is not as happy as it seems. Her cousin calls from Chicago and asks her to for his wedding. I enjoyed reading this book it was so well written, an emotional read, page turner and entertaining. I was glad that Ria was able to overcome her past and rekindle her love with Vikram.

A very tension-filled second chance romance. Ria and Vikram are excellent characters, and I was really rooting for them the whole way. I loved how Dev set the majority of the book in Naperville - I bet some of my friends' parents could have been the neighbors! I loved the little detail of how the aunties coordinate their clothes. (And now I want samosas, but not as many as Nikhil and Vikram ate, oof)

Ria is Bollywood's ice princess but she is aging out of the ability to play the blushing young bride and a photographer gets a shot of her standing on a ledge and blackmails her by threatening to publish it with the headline attempted suicide, so when she's called home to attend her cousins wedding she decides to take a break and go even though she's afraid to see her childhood sweetheart again.
Vikram never got over Ria leaving him for an actor because he could put her in a movie and launch her career while he was away at school. He brings his current girlfriend Mira to the wedding celebrations trying to keep Ria out of his mind and maybe to make her jealous...
These 2 are quite tortured and there is mental health rep for main and side characters. I've really been enjoying this series, it's like reading a Bollywood movie, colorful, fun and emotional.

Quick fun read! I loved the details of the Indian culture and this novel had a lot less unnecessary fluff than Bollywood Affair.

I hadn't read a chiclit novel in a while, and well, now I remember why. After reading enough of these, they become a bit predictable - both character and plot. Still, there were parts of the story that were entertaining and there were others that were, ahem, explicit. Overall: underwhelmed.

This is a typical romance novel but what makes it a little different is that the characters are Indian and Indian culture, especially things related to weddings is prominent. That's the part I enjoyed.

I found the overall storyline of the main character irritating and unbelievable. Her love interest far too perfect even by romance novel standards.

I have another book by this author which I'll probably read someday but if it doesn't grab me fast I'm going to abandon it.

D-R-A-M-A - so much angst and drama! And some depiction of schizophrenia that made me uncomfortable
