Guys! "Fat Bottomed Girls". Un musical en un comic. WHAT IS HAPPENING!!! Leanlo ya!

new favorite comic hands-down

"Jon... is your dick glowing?"
Kathleen kijkt wat beter naar het prentje. Jon z'n dick is inderdaad aan het glowen.
Kathleen komt vijf minuten niet meer bij van het lachen.

Compleet absurde verhaallijn, maar tegelijk geweldig gebracht. Schitterend gewoon.

This might be the best thing I've read all year. Pure fun, and hilarious sight gags.

This guy. This fucking guy.
This past August, I attended Fan Expo in Toronto which is pretty much the equivalent of San Diego's comic con. I kept seeing Sex Criminals, Volume 1 around at a lot of the booths and the design of the front cover kept catching my eye. I didn't end up picking it up until yesterday at Inspire! Toronto's International Book Fair. I'm glad I finally did. It took no time at all to read all of it. It definitely has quite the interesting and unique storyline. I also thought it was quite funny and had some great moments (especially the whole post-it note/fat bottom girls scenario). Definitely something I would recommend to many readers!

Manic pixie dream librarian girl. Only fit people have sex. Art is dope, though, so I will probably read the rest.

Well, that was different. It was a well organized and unique story with quality art. It's not really my sense of humor, but I can see why a lot of people enjoy this series. Thanks to ALA's Frequently Challenged Book List for getting me out of my comfort zone to see a different kind of story.

What a weird and wonderful graphic novel. A really interesting concept that was executed well. I loved the main characters personalities and their relationship was cute and awkward. Looking forward to reading the next one.

One of my reading goals for 2015 is to read more graphic novels. Sex Criminals is a graphic novel that is recommended often when googling graphic novels, asking friends or browsing goodreads. The idea of being able to stop time with an organism intrigued me; I mean it sounded like it could be the perfect combination of funny and clever. I have to admit it was pretty hysterical and clever. However, I found the storyline and set up a little hard to follow. I am fully aware that might be because I haven't read many graphic novels but I still spent a lot of time confused and playing catch up.

I also must add that the art was amazing - I mean glow in the dark penises, who could really ask for more.
