I did not enjoy this one as much as I did the first two books in the series. I found this one wasn't so exciting and I got bored easily. I will probably wait a while before reading the next books in the series.

I also won't be doing a video review about it

There is too much going on in this series to keep it straight or even hold my interest. I loved [b:Evermore|3975774|Evermore (The Immortals, #1)|Alyson Noel|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1269138851s/3975774.jpg|4021549] and found [b:Blue Moon|6134826|Blue Moon (The Immortals, #2)|Alyson Noel|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1267224822s/6134826.jpg|6313389]enjoyable while Shadowland just leaves me frustrated. Okay so the twins are stuck in the mortal world, she can't touch Damen and Roman is playing power freak over everyone. Do we get answers to any of this? NO instead we get a new character Jude who is connected to Ever past by her being a muse and him the artist, we are introduced to The Book of Shadows, and Honor is acting really strange. I don't get why Roman tried to kill Honor and then Ever being the oh so irresponible person she is, gives her the exlier that will make her an immortal, but doesn't share this info with her. How much more does Damen and Ever go through before they are together for all time? If they are not to be soul mates but condemmed souls, can we move them on to new relationships?

I like everyone in the books except for Ever, Why? Why? Tell me why is she so stupid!? I mean when I thought she has learned the lesson and she was actually growing up,there she goes again and ruins everything, she's so selfish and I just can't stand her.

Ok, I was a bit unsure about how I liked this book. I love Jude, he may be my favorite character now. Ever, Damen, and especially Haven got more and more annoying as the book progressed and then the ending did not do justice for me at all. I am growing tired of this series and I just want to be done with it, but i will tough it out and finish the rest of the books. Hopefully they get better.

Quote: "Give the people what they want."

In the last book, we are left off after Ever gives Damen the antidote that returned him to life and unknowingly ensured their physical separation forever.

At the beginning of this book we see Damen teaching her about the energy of the world while she desperately tries to make herself tell him about Roman tricking her to put her blood in the antidote, about her mistake. That with one kiss, one touch of her DNA to hers, he will die.

Damen believing his karma has finally caught up to him decides to change his vain and self-serving ways. Meaning getting rid of his car, all his fancy clothes and all other 'unnecessary indulgences'.

Desperate to find a way to break the curse on Damen Ever immerses herself in magick, and gains help from Jude, a surfer dude, with eyes that draws her in and seems so familiar. But her new relationship with Jude tests more than just her magick abilities but her relationship with Damen when more secrets from the past come into light.

Ever doesn't really have a very good connection with her two friends in this installment, they seem distant, snappy and slightly snobby. Her and her aunts relationship had always been relaxed, and is the same in this one, if not more so.

The author has done a really great job with this book, though it doesn't quiet live up to the previous installments. It was slow at first not really picking up interest/action until around chapter ten or eleven. That is where we start to see real character progression.

Altogether an okay installment, and a must read for The Immortal lovers.

New twists and turns and drama added to the story.

Gotta love the slurs

How does this series stay so consistently good?! The suspense just keeps on going! A big part of the suspense is Damen and Ever's inability to have sex - due to some dark magic, if they do it, he'll die. It's so over the top that it just works, plus she embraces the fact that most of these YA fantasies really come down to the big question: "will they or won't they?" So that's different.

Added to the goodness I'm coming to expect, there was also an intense love triangle introduced involving past lives. Kind of breathtaking. The twins had a larger role, complete with their own major problems too. So basically, all of the suspense from the last one kept on building, and things only got worse, nothing was solved.

At the risk of sounding like a teenage bimbo, The Immortals is basically made of awesome. :)

This one took days to read. It just wasn't as interesting as #1 or #2.
