I had to DNF this one. It just wasn’t for me. I didn’t like the direction it was going in and (after some research) ended up going in, in terms of who ends with who.
Interesting concept and decent enough writing though. Just not for me.

I really enjoyed Wicked Lovely and I think this is the first young adult book I read about other worldly beings. I enjoyed how Aislinn's character and felt that the choices she made were reasonable. Nothing too outrageous or influenced by some magical powers beyond her control.
Pretty good start to a series. Keenan is a weirdo though…Curious to see how Seth and Ashlinn’s story will develop
Best book on the folklore(faeries). I couldn't put it down.
An interesting voice- I found this book hard to put down!
The first book of a "lovely" series, Marr takes the fantastic world of faerie courts and blends it in with high school and the urban environment of a city. Aislinn has seen faeries all her life, but has avoided them to the best of her abilities until Keenan, king of the summer court, enrolls in her high school. While through Aislinn's eyes the reader sees the faeries as a threat, they see a different side of the story through Keenan. This novel kept me reading until the very end, and leaves you with both a satisfying ending, and a hint at what to expect from the next book!
3.5. I liked it enough to be intrigued by the next one. It reminded me a lot of [b:Wintersong|24763621|Wintersong (Wintersong, #1)|S. Jae-Jones|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1479206906s/24763621.jpg|44394042], or I should say that Wintersong reminded me of it, since Wicked Lovely came first. I bumped it down from a 4 star because it was quite slow - a lot of unnecessary time was wasted. I was also a little annoyed by the heroine at times. She was...bland...and then all of a sudden she'd have one of those "strong female" qualities. Her love interest was wonderful - sweet, supportive, strong, etc...though it would have been nice to have his perspective at times. He was just like "Faeries. Got it. Totes believe you bc I love you."
i liked. not sure if you would. but if you like faeries and stuff. you should read it.
Hmmm. Well, it was better than Twilight (but that's not saying much). Nowhere near as good as the faery books by Maggie Stiefvater. I bounced off Holly Black, so can't compare those. I enjoyed bits of it - at least the folklore seemed well researched and the rules of magic engagement quite well worked out. But. I don't think I liked it well enough to read what appear to be the legions of sequels.
This book ended so perfectly that I have decided to NOT read any of the sequels! But you should totally read this one.
