Jamais je ne me lasse de cette saga, et encore moins de cette conclusion. Un vrai coup de cœur !

as a romantic, I can’t not give this series five stars

Feb 2020: Wow they go through some tough shit. I can't even remember how bad things got, but it was super believable. It always seems like they're making things up as they go, which they did. Of course people would be hurt along they way as well. You forget that they're basically kids still. I think it was very well written and thought out. Still one of the best series I've read in a while.

Nov 2015: I'm so happy. This was perfect. ☺️ Definitely one of my favorite series.

Before I had my daughter (and the need to read mainly ebooks) this book would’ve been read within days despite its length. It was such a satisfying end to a series I have wholeheartedly enjoyed. The idea to adapt fairytales is by no means new but this series was such a fresh take on that idea. Every book gave you a new character and new focus whilst maintaining the strands of story of others that had come before it. This final novel continued that theme and managed to tell its own engaging story whilst also weaving the strands together of those novels that came before it.
What really drew me in with these stories was the characters and their relationships. The emotional development of the characters was skillfully done and I really rooted for them all in their different ways. I also loved the different kinds of friendships exhibited throughout - all felt real, human and raw.
adventurous dark funny lighthearted slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

This one dragged on foreverrrrr

I'm just really gratified that Winter is apparently brown, and I hope that I'm not misreading that, and I hope she's not "olive," and I hope if there's a movie they don't fuck it up, and also I like her a whole lot and also this was a bit too long and felt derivative but I think it's not derivative so much as every epic SFF tale ends this way but also it's funny and pretty great and problematic but I love the series anyway the end.

Loved this ending and bonus - a special author interview at the end of this audio book!!

Review in progress. The best of the lunar series hands down.

PT: fairy tale retellings, series, books with black covers (sorta), fantasy, Marissa Meyer/Lunar Chronicles

WIL
1) The Mad One archetype but make it 5000% more adorable and sweet.
2) Narrative weaving.

NEUTRAL GROUND:
1) I am writing this after the fact (like a fool). I already reread the rest of the LC series, so the details of his particular book are a bit hazy. I do plan to read it again just as soon as the audiobook becomes available again.

I just loved this series, I’m sad it’s over. This book especially was great. I loved how classic Snow White elements were weaved in, and it was great getting to see Luna.
