From about a fifth of the way into the book, I knew I was going to love it. The story had me hooked from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down. I loved learning the stories of all of the siblings and the parents. It was amazing. I will be suprised if I read another book this year that I loved so quickly and furiously as this one. Wow. Absolutely recommend.
also i loved that Kit turned out to be a lesbian. The book being set in the 1980s makes it even more special. I truly enjoyed reading her realization and coming out storyline.

I’m bummed there wasn’t more of Mick and June’s story! Without the party scenes that dragged on forever, the random sexual exploits, and the repetitive plotlines, I think I would have liked this book more. The first half was actually fairly engaging but I just didn’t feel emotionally attached to any of the characters (maybe bc there was like a hundred of them).

Would have been 5/5 except for one part where the character names were written wrong and details got confused.

I absolutely loved this book. It’s been years since a book kept me up late reading, but I could not put this one down. The way TJR managed to create an upbeat, interesting novel with darker tones and underlying themes of generational patterns…. Incredible. I’m obsessed and I can’t wait to read more of her novels now.
