Mon existence n'a plus aucun sens... Je me suis tellement attachée à ces personnages... Tout le monde a besoin de lire cette histoire. Wow…. This is in the top reads of the year. Different from what I normally read. It’s written so well that it almost felt like I was in there with Salama. It’s so realistically written. Highly recommend.

This book broke my heart and re-made it again a thousand times. 

Humanity. Grief. Resistance. Revolution. Love. Hope. Joy. May these never stop breaking our hearts. 

I don’t have the words to adequately describe the depth, grief, and beauty of this book. And in light of the genocide and violence in Palestine, Sudan, Congo it has never been more relevant to remember that world events are happening to people, humans, families…suffering but more than their pain.  More than ever we cannot turn away.
