I thought their relationship wouldn’t be so insta-lovey & evolve as quickly as it did so that was a bummer to read. I also assumed the book would have darker themes and be slow to medium paced, but it read more as an erotica with very slight mafia affiliation mentions than anything.

Flat characters, paper thin plot, pacing of relationship was too fast.

That was awesome 🤩
JT Geissinger is the best for writing plots you don’t see coming.

Kade is the epitome of a mafia boss. Tall, big, captivating…
And he speaks straight from the heart as much as filthy thoughts as loving ones.
I flushed so many time.
Nat is resilient. She’s been through the mourning of her disappeared fiancé. She’s been turning upside down by Kade. Because she didn’t see him coming with his heart on his hand and his sharp frank tongue.

Sloane really deserved her own book, she is the queen of banter and don’t take shit from men. I love her SO MUCH.
“Being with a man twenty-four hours a day is exhausting” I fell ya sister.

The audiobook is narrated by Brooke Daniels, Troy Duran and Michelle Sparks
It is a brilliant duet. Troy’s voice is perfect to embody a mafia boss.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
chap 27  is the best spǎnking session I’ve ever read 🥵

This book does have spice but not super spicy. The plot line is good; it is part of a novella, the characters tie in with a little plot line but nothing the entire series doesn't fill in with main plot point

A decent plot to go with the romance/spice. Was a bit cringey and jumped so fast at the end, but enjoyed overall.

I ended up really loving this! After around the 30%-ish mark give or take, I really liked this. This easily went from what was going to be a 3.5 rating to 5 stars for me.
I don't know if this was supposed to be a serious mafia story but I had a lot of fun reading this. The vibes were there lol. Nat and Kage's story was actually not something I focused on too much. Their relationship is very insta lust and insta love. You have to look past that lol.  He's an alpha male with a damaged past like any other mafia book, nothing interesting there. Nat was a strong heroine and I loved that. She was never afraid of him at all and her sense of humor is top tier.  Another thing, I never talk about spice in my reviews, but the spice in this book?? caught me off guard lmao but it was good. I loved how he always asked for consent and made sure she was comfortable with what they were doing. I loved her best friend Sloane the most. She was so funny and I will her book hopefully soon. I also liked the plot a lot. I was hooked throughout the whole book mostly.
