This was not my favorite. It was very predictable and while the two girls were likable, every other character was flat and stereotypical. I felt that Sheldon was unfamiliar with modern technology and just threw everything in that he could to make it sound more up to date. While the afterword insists that the weather manipulations have happened, everything seemed so unbelievable and contrived. I am pretty sure my book club will not like this selection.

Having read a few other Sidney Sheldon’s books out of publication order and loved those, this particular novel was actually disappointing to atrocious levels.

Few things I was thinking about while reading:
  1. Was this really written by Sidney Sheldon? The quality is appalling.
  2. The two FMC really got through the entire novel alive by sheer luck, nothing else.
  3. The dialogues were as flat as cardboards and same goes to the characters. Sometimes comical (read: ridiculous), even.

Also, I really couldn’t stand the fact that Kelly’s CSA history and resulting PTSD was tided over just like that. At one moment she was deathly afraid of a man being anywhere near her, and the next, she could consummate her marriage on the very same night with absolutely no problem.

Seriously?

The two stars was awarded by virtue that I made it to the end, and the fact that it was a page-turner, though not in a kind way.

Ultimate page turner. I couldn't put it down for a moment!
mysterious

It is not possible to give a negative rating for a book, but 1 star is way too much praise for this utter drivel.

I got this book for free and continued reading because I had nothing else, but I think the price I paid was too expensive.

My advice if you come across this book is to use it for toilet paper.

the dialogue is really stilted. DId he get worse or was I just not very discerning back then? Hoping this gets better.

nope. didn't get better. crap. this is stinky.
