Pretty good easy read. Needed some more character development but in Sheldon fashion, plenty of twists and surprises!
fast-paced

This man I’m not sure has ever met a women before. All his female characters are basically idiots and he probably thinks that because they saved themselves that we’ll think he isn’t a misogynist. Firstly there’s so many uses of the word bitch in this book it’s incredible. Secondly the model female character (of course she’s a model) marries an unattractive man who stalked her and we‘re supposed to think this was romantic. There’s also an incident of the ‘mighty magic healing cock’ in the book. She has PTSD after a violent rape when she was 8 but it’s okay because the man who stalks her and then married her says they don’t have to have sex and then on the wedding night she basically turns into a nymphomaniac.

The book is full of things that you really need to suspend your disbelief about including some really dodgy science. The only saving grace is that it’s pretty easy to read. If you don’t mind all the things I’ve mentioned you might like it.

SIDNEY SHELDON IS SERIOUSLY THE MASTER OF THE UNEXPECTED!

I don’t understand why I took me so long to pay him a visit! But I’m glad I did! This book is FULL of twists and turns! The suspense is tailor-made to precision, the characters full of vivid colours and vitality. Every chapter had so many twists to punch you with. All will be going well and then there’ll be just this one line that will make you trip and fall. The twists were simple but oh so effective! Many a times I had to keep the book aside and laugh hysterical. Yes, like a mad woman, because Sheldon was playing with my brains. I loved all the characters – both good and bad – oh the bad were so good at being bad. I loved the interactions between the characters and how they reacted to the different situations they were thrown into. I miss this kind of a novel- the one where the protagonist is on the run and always on the edge and the antagonist and his men always seem to be a step ahead of them until the last moment. The ending of this book was something I knew was brewing but still it felt so satisfying when I read it. I loved every bit of this book! The cherry on the cake – the afterword. This helps you understand what is actually happening in our society and how Sheldon so skillfully made a story out of it. I highly recommend this book!

This was a blessedly fast read. However, it was lacking in SO MANY MANY things. It was obvious that this novel (and I use that word loosely!) was written by the man that brought us the 80's schlockfest 'Hart to Hart'. The story was paced like a bad tv show. Very little description, little or no background and you really didn't know what was happening until 2/3 of the way through the story. To get directly to the point - this was CRAP. I picked it up out of a box of books I had received because I had heard so much about the author over the years: multiple awards and millions of books sold, etc. But then to experience this garbage. OMG!! I'm not an English major or literary snob, but damn I at least expected some decent writing; there was none of that here. Unless you really really get excited about Murder She Wrote reruns, please don't waste your time.

I'm a big fan of Sidney Sheldon books, I've been reading them since the 70's, but this one was just okay. It kept my interest, but it's not even in the same league as "Master of the Game" or "Bloodline".

Iya... buku ini is OK lah.
