Good material -- not new but presented in ways that are easily understood and applied.

Great book for understanding of effective learning. One of the aspects of the book I found very interesting was the way the authors structured the book to apply (as much as possible on the written page) the concepts they stand behind. We see retrieval, interleaving, elaboration, consolidation, variety, and application to personal & concrete examples demonstrated. Although a short article would cover the territory enough for application, the book includes reference to research, along with the depth gained by making use of their strategies throughout. Extremely helpful for my studies and immediately applicable.

This is quite simply the best book on learning I've ever read. I'd recommend it for everyone.
informative medium-paced

Really important for students

What I liked - The advices.
What I didn't like - The chapters had many examples, which is a good thing, but I got pretty bored of the book. I usually read free paragraphs and then make notes but when I actually thought about what I learnt from reading those few paragraphs, nothing came up in my mind. The same point was stressed multiple times in different ways.
adventurous informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

I'm going to be recommending this to so many people.

I was a little worried this would be to data heavy and unpleasant to read, just based on the way it was reccomended to me, but it was written in a way that was enjoyable and easy to follow.

It's really great to get a clearer understanding of why I'm good at learning so I can actually help other people, and maybe get even better at it myself.

Has some good information but was repetitive and boring to read. Chapter 8 is great but the rest really dragged. I did like the content but it was really painful to get through.

It is interesting that the harder something is to learn, the more likely you are to remember it.
