That one was great! Loved seeing Peter do some magic. And the story was a wonderful mixture of horror and mystery and humor. The resolution was quite poetic.

Again, another tie-in-that's-not-a-tie-in story where we follow Peter Grant in graphic form as he battles household mould. This story is better than the previous two graphic novel compilations - more consistency and easier to follow. The characters are your main characters as well, so it feels more connected to the main series (including seeing Sahra Guleed as an actual contributing member of the team that is reflected in the main books).

I still felt this wasn't quite worth my time given Aaronovitch is using tie-in references in the main series just to get us to read the expanded series. It is a tie-in, and references are reflected in the main series, but yet you don't need to read this for the main series to fully make sense. It's all a bit confusing, but glad this side-series is getting a bit better.

Not part of a Challenge this year...2021. Just for pleasure.

Installment 3 of the Rivers of London. Ok... Molly is growing on me. I kind of like her and I freaking Love Beverly!! This time the backflashes were very minimal and I followed the story a little easier.

This volume contains novels #11-15. It contains additional in-cannon stories that are set between [b:Foxglove Summer|20499240|Foxglove Summer (Peter Grant, #5)|Ben Aaronovitch|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1402338677s/20499240.jpg|34142449] and [b:The Hanging Tree|21479290|The Hanging Tree (Peter Grant, #6)|Ben Aaronovitch|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1480443659s/21479290.jpg|40801856]. It seems like Aaronovitch has gotten the hang of making these graphic novellas have the same 'feel' as his books. The dry humor's there, the action, and all the little plot twists that you've come to love and expect. If you're already a fan, definitely take a moment to check out these graphic novels. It's new content & it's a fun distraction from any heavier reading you might be doing.

Grant, Guleed, and Nightingale face a sentient black mould (or 'mold', as we'd say in the US) that is terrorizing upscale residents in London. They must find a pattern, locate the source, and neutralize the terror before someone gets hurt.

Evil slum landlords and haunted sentient mould - just another day in the life of Peter Grant, police officer and trainee wizard. This was an entertaining read as always.

Funny but I think it would have made a better book.

Getting my Peter Grant kick through graphic novels! Black Mold has been my favorite so far. It is certainly fun to see the characters come to life in the artwork, and the stories are great little short stories. Two thumbs up!
