An interesting and albeit adult take on vampires by the king of children's horror, R.L. Stine. I will admit I cannot wait to see where the story goes, but the book loses points for Stine relying on his old cliffhanger tricks from his Goosebumps books and certain characters were really annoying because of his style, but I did enjoy Destiny and Livvy's relationship and Renz as a villain. Getting moments from Renz's perspective as a bloodthirsty killer (who literally rips heads off) was really cool and gave a real stamp of adult attitude to Stine's usual immature banter. Will def read the sequel.

Two twins come back from camp and have to find a way to stop from becoming vampires before the next full moon. Decent vampire story - mostly sticks to the traditional myths.

This was a highly entertaining book, and I absolutely loved it. Pretty wild ride from start to finish, and one of the worst books I've read in a while I think.
I picked up a Norwegian translation if it, which was a very bad translation, but those flaws aside I still doubt it's actually a good book.
If you like bad B movies you'll probably love it though, I sure had a good time.
Certain parts made me cringe so bad I wanted to disappear into the ground, but it the best way possible. I think this book made me discover a few new facia  expressions and I'm glad I picked it up.
What a fascinating experience

I remember I read this one quite a while ago. While it was more suspenseful than scary, the vampire rules were interesting. So was the sister-versus-sister conflict near the end. Not great, not terrible, but passingly entertaining like most Stine and Pike books.

Read it for the middle school nostalgia. It was okay. Not really scary. I didn’t get attached to any characters. I did thought the vampire rules were interesting.

About 5 or 6 years ago, I began to read novels by R.L. Stine. Particularly ones from the Fear Street series. Just cause I liked getting a scare from the goings on in the books. I went into Chapters one day and spotted this book. Upon purchasing it, I began it immediately. It was amazing, as far as I can remember. (: I hope to reread it when I get a chance, although that's rather doubtful.
