Libby audio. I can’t remember how I came across this book… maybe vet moms’ book club? Regardless, this book wasn’t for me and I didn’t enjoy it. I felt myself not wanting to put my ear buds in. The narration was fine, it was content. I kept checking if this was supposed to be a memoir. I think I would have actually liked it more if it was.
Cute quick read with interesting characters, no town in WA can come close to the made up spawlding WA in the book. Unfortunately just as the book gets really interesting it ends, oh well it was fun and fast.
I technically only listened to half of this, as it expired before I finished it. It had a couple of really funny one-liners, but all in all it just really wasn't that great.
Laugh Out Loud Funny!!!! So the book I needed at the moment. Light Hearted, FUNNY, Heart warming at the end. Great Read!
This book was so fun. I love the main character, I love that she's fat and comes off as kind of strange and screws up, and laughs at herself all the way through. I also loved the setting in fictional Spaulding, Washington that contains a great many of the quirky, weird things that make the Northwest unique. Spaulding, Washington seemed to me like a condensed version of this region, with all the best and strangest things in this one town (hippies, witches, unicycles, organic bakeries and styrofoam recycling day that is more like a city holiday).

The writing was not very good, the jokes weren’t funny, and the characters weren’t believable or lovable.
