This novel was a cozy horror blast!
We follow six boys in 80s getting stuffed in a totally not a serial killer van and hauled to Hampton Heights to sell newspapers subscription to the residents of the neighborhood, with the promise of Burger King at the end of the day. What they were not prepared for was the insanity what was concentrated in that block. Between witches, werewolves, demons, trolls and the occasional succubus you get a coming of age, hilarious story with a story within a story and I couldn't believe what a great way this was all wrapped together.
I feel like we need more of this novel. Maybe a couple spin offs or how the neighborhood came to be? Idk I just need more of this little universe!
