This book was hard to read for me but pretty excellent I read it in 2 days.

I enjoyed this novel very much.

Some down falls for me were the predictability to some aspects of the novel. I like the relationships that were a huge part of this book: the sisters, the sisters and the recluse uncle, and the sisters to their mother.

I would recommend this one for sure. And I'll have to read Walls' other two.

I loved The Glass Castle, but I was so bored with the contrived characters in this one--and the lackluster storyline--that I couldn't convince myself to finish. Very disappointing.

I LOVED both of Walls previous novels and was very excited about this one, but it fell pretty short for me. The story was well written but there didn’t seem to be a proper arc to it at all.

I wish I could give this a two and a half rating. It wasn't bad. It was just ok.

Jeannette Walls is a wonderful writer. I have loved all of her books, and this one might be my favorite.
