What can i day about this book other than it hooked me from the start till the end ??
Beautifully written, amazing plot-line, very nice world building and interesting characters. This book has everything you didn't know you wanted to read .
If you are in a mood for a dark academia novel with enemy to lovers trop, hunted castle, ghosts and tarot cards, well go read this book.
Five freaking stars, more than deserve it

this was overly insane to me. SO good and shocked at every plot twist and so many questions unanswered. i need more. i’m SHOCKED by how good this is. over 5 stars doesn’t even determine how good this actually is.

Audiobook 🎧

This should have been a DNF. I ended up hate-listening to a large chunk of this. It was just boring. I wasn’t invested in the story. The last 30 minutes (where some of the mystery was wrapped up) was decent, but it still left so many unanswered questions, a fact which was actually acknowledged in the epilogue! What a frustrating reading experience. So many pointless plot threads that led nowhere. It leaves you, as a reader, wondering what’s worth actually paying attention to.

Personally I didn’t like or warm to the MC’s either.

It was a good story premise, which had potential but massively underdelivered.

Audiobook gripes - why did the female narrator make Vad sound like a dying old man?! This killed any illusion of him being a hot professor.
Why is Aidan Snow billed as a dual narrator when he had about 30 seconds of actual narration?!
I think the bad audiobook made the experience even worse, this might have been a 3* eyeball read.

Dark academia, professor student. At Verenmore there are many unknowns and mysteries lurking in the woods, within the halls of the university, and secrets amongst the students (and teachers). The eerie, haunted setting played perfectly into all the paranormal possibilities and mysteries of the story. The tension and spice, the dirty talking professor! It all worked for me. I was enthralled in the story from the start and loved every minute of this book!

“If this is madness, drown me in it.”
"If this is madness, I've already descended too far."

I never read this type of book before and it was little hard to get into it at first, but Corvina and Vad both were really interesting characters with many secrets, especially Vad, so they got me hooked
