DNF 5% - I’ll try again another time. It was a bit too Shakespeare

Well this was certainly better than I dared to hope! I connected very well with Allyson, the protagonist, and it was thrilling to follow her adventures in Paris. Her problems with her parents (or rather, her mother's problems) were glaringly obvious, though, and a lot of characters felt a bit underdeveloped. Still, it was an entertaining story!

More of a 3.5 really. I think I'm drawing near to the end of my YA fascination. One can only read so many books about young women obsessing over young men before it gets desperately depressing.

Foreman's work continues to seem a bit overrated to me. This is a fine chronicle of one girl's first world problems, but too many characters are clearly plot mechanisms rather than people, and it's hard to ever fully engage with the "crisis" that occupies the second half of the book. That said, I dig a lot of her stylistic and narrative choices.

I really loved If I Stay and Where She Went, so I thought I'd give this a shot. The actual premise of the book didn't catch mu interest, but I'm glad I gave it a shot.

I actually preferred the second half of the book. The first half was just hard to get through. I'm not sure I even liked the main guy, but I could relate to Allyson.

Hard to relate to first world problem characters.

Cute and fluffy, but not particularily original.

For some reason this book disappeared from my shelves. I hope it's the only one. Luckily I had the review saved elsewhere.

OMFG! All the feeling all the feelings!!!!I died at the end. I need Just One Year NOW.Seriously, such a well written book and such interesting characters. I started yelling at the book when I finished. I need the next book. I need it...

I did read this three months ago, but it's still not a great sign that I considered not writing a review of it because I can't really remember how I felt about it.

It was...fine? Kind of a cute trip through Europe with the addition of a love story -- a sort of teen version of Before Sunrise. Until the second half...which was just kind of...meh. I dunno, it was fine -- I hear rumors that the second book is maybe worth reading?

I don't really understand everyones interest in this book. It was so, so disappointing. The main character is so whiny, depressing, obsessive, creepy- and just sad (and I am not referring to her emotions). This was a creepy stalker-esque story. Really was not into it. Will probably read the sequel just because I hate not finishing a series.
