story was kinda interesting, some developments are quite strange in the story. The ending is pretty weird. The art is cool though

i liked the story against the background of tel-aviv, and the washes of the artwork. the colors were lovely and a few simple lines said a lot about the characters. the story was interesting, but not gripping. maybe it's because i don't understand estranged families - i never felt like i sympathized at all with the main character.

What an odd little book. “Exit Wounds” is the story of a suicide bombing in Israel, an unidentified body, mismatched relationships, and love stories that make you go eewwwwww. It’s not the most exciting artwork, but it’s effective.

Rutu modan is one o the best out there fr. I almost wanna call her art cinematic cuz she chooses these great angles and stuff and I feel like I wanna pause the movie but then it’s not a movie!!! Also I’ve noticed in graphic novels not unlike in plays it can get a sec to get used to the dialogue. In both there’s something artificial and U have to get over the hump of being aware that these are just actors on a stage or drawings with speech balloons before u accept these as just ppl talking. But not so with Rutu! Somehow just has a gift for Super naturalistic dialogue and I’m in right away! Nice!

I got a sunburn while reading this book. I was so distracted by the thrill of the search that I forgot to re-apply sunscreen. I suppose it's fitting considering the arid climate of the book. This really says nothing about the book, but it was pretty good, nothing spectacular, cute but ambiguous drawings, mystery story.
