Someone recommended this book and I was put off by the title, but when I read the synopsis I was intrigued.
This took me back to my high school days where I was a Christian teen in a public High School. I actually saved my first kiss for marriage, so the types of conversations that were sparked here were very relatable and pretty realistic. I’m also a sucker for a celebrity romance, though at some points I wasn’t sure how to feel about how things were unfolding and some people’s choices. But I ended up being really happy with the ending and I am looking forward to reading part two.

Content warning: there is mild swearing and inappropriate comments—it fits the situation and is realistic, but just a heads up that it is a consistent thing in the story along with frank conversations about people being sexually active.

I would personally prefer to avoid this for the younger YA audience, but for an older teen it could be a great conversation starter.

Oh dear Lord! <3

I really enjoyed this book, it kept my attention and I'd recommend it. Now I'm looking forward to reading "A is for Abstinence".

SLUT-SHAMING ALL UP IN THIS BOOK

V is for Virgin

I never thought that I would give this book 5 stars! When I reach the 23rd chapter, I am very certain that this book would belong to my 4-star-favorite collection, but I was wrong. The last three words in the epilogue of the book made the difference! I was so affected by it that I practically screamed! And that was it, I was convinced that it deserve a five stars rating.

I find it hard to pick another book to read after I read the Divergent and this book sounds good. Well, the plot is not the best plot ever but the characters were awesome! I don't know why but I love everyone except for Cara.

Kyle was really one of the best character in the first part of the book and I loved him there.
Spoiler I don't know why but he kinda hurt me in the last part when he fall in love when Valerie and him are apart. It hurts me to know that he was totally in love with Adriana and even got engaged with her. It makes me feel like Valerie was an option, a second choice, a rebound. I mean, common, if Adriana didn't cheat with him, he would probably end up with her and Valerie ..well, I don't know what will happen to her. Anyway, I just really hate the fact that I feel that Valerie just became an option for him. Or maybe, I just hate the fact that Kyle was able to fall in love really hard, it's quite upsetting, obviously, Valerie is deeply in love with him although they said their goodbyes a long time ago but it seems like he didn't fall hard enough for Valerie. It is like he was able to move on over Valerie that fast because he found this chick, Adriana and it made my heart slumped. I also hate the fact that Adriana is the one who made him realize that sleeping around with random girls is not right. Oh my, this only means that I so love Valerie Jensen.

Well, I really, really love the spirit of Valerie Jensen! The whole idea of Virgin Val might be very ridiculous, but Valerie Jensen is really a good character! I have to admit that with out Valerie's very good point in the story, I might never consider giving this book 4 stars.

Kelly Oram, I hate you, you know? You're story is one of those open ended stories and I am dying to read at least one more chapter of this book! I am really, really not satisfied with the ending! I wish Kyle and Valerie got more exposure because they are really good characters, they deserve that! Though I love the concept of the song Worth Waiting For , I wish there was a lyrics, I want to know what Kyle feels in that song. Whoah! Your book is one of those cliff hunger! But, I have to acknowledge the chapter entitled "The point" where Valerie made a brilliant point about her being virgin till marriage, that was real genius.

Anyway, this was a light, incredibly funny read. I recommend it to my friends and they know that it is a very entertaining story since I can't remove the smile from my face. They know that I even laugh out very loud like a crazy gal many times when I read the story during our vacant period.

I just really, really wish it was longer. An additional chapter will really do.
