A fast-paced technothriller that stumbles towards the end. Adaptive nanobots are the main danger this time around, but the contrivances Crichton has to pull out to make the story move along are quite far-fetched. Nonetheless, quite an entertaining read, and has aged reasonably well.

This is a good thriller exploring the dangers of experimenting with technology that is not fully understood. It was fast-paced and engaging.

The biggest let-down of all Crichton's books I've yet read. It started off pretty strong, but I'd kind of lost my connection to it by the end. There was still some interesting science and characters, but just didn't win overall for me.

We look at the world around us as a snapshot when it was really a movie, constantly changing.
