Bara jaha…

I am conflicted…I liked it but disliked it, loved it but hated it, wanted to throw it across the room only to run and pick it up again. This book, had me twisted into so many emotions that I am sitting here excited that I finally finished it, but saddened that the story has ended. What I loved was the actual story line, the relationship between Kat, Jumpin’ and his wife Mable. The character development of each character was heart felt and amazingly done. Yet, I strongly disliked the detailed descriptions of everything in nature that had to occur throughout the story. I will admit it was very well written, but just felt that at times, the over zealous description of everything could have been left out from the story line.

I read this book while going to and from for the lab, both on the train and while walking to the station. Having watched the movie before I was already impressed.

I'll do anything to get the feeling that I got from reading this for the first time.

Wow. Saw the movie trailer and decided I had to read it before the film comes out. Managed to get a copy of this book from my library and it was so popular. There were 70+ digital copies all loaned out with 4 holds on each copy. And it is well deserved. It had a tightly written story, and compelling characters that include the marsh itself. Can't wait to see the film adaptation in July!

Wow! How do you even begin to describe a book like this? It’s such an incredible story, told so beautiful, and makes you feel every emotion under the sun. It reminds me of To Kill a Mockingbird, which isn’t surprising as it’s my favourite book and Where the Crawdads Sing will live on as one of my favourite books as well. I’m sure I will re-read this book in the future and will cry all over again.
