This was absolutely fucking ridiculous. If you want to debase someone, than this is your shit to read!!

Overall, I REALLY liked this book. I enjoyed the characters and plot. I took off a star bc I felt like it needed more. There was definitely character and relationship development, but I needed more scenes for it to feel organic. Things just happened. There weren’t quite enough scenes to build the kind of devotion some of the characters had for each other. I would have liked to have dived deeper into some of the characters’ psyches. The author wrote such an amazing plot and characters, but left me wanting more from this story. I definitely recommend.

I honestly struggled with this book, which is disappointing because I really enjoyed this author’s The Bullets series.

The pacing and plot felt like water and oil—they didn’t compliment one another. And the FMC, Juliet, became progressively more annoying the longer the story went on—she reached tstl status by the end. Her character was not compatible with the mafia trope—realistically, it would have been more in line with Malice’s character if he’d killed Juliet for her audacity.

As for the MMCs—Anthony was the only one that I did more than tolerate (he was adorable in a psychotic puppy dog way). William started out strong but lost my respect around 69%. And Malice/Nick’s character just didn’t make sense to me.

I loved this book! My only complaint would be that I want more! I enjoyed all the characters but I loved Anthony so much! I’ve read a million mafia stories but this one was definitely unique and I couldn’t put it down!

Dark, Passionate, Delicious RH

I loved this book by CLJ! I always enjoy her worlds and this one is no different! There’s lots of drama, love, hate, and passion surrounding this tragic, dark world. There’s an alphahole...which is always my favorite character, the dark controlling ones always do it for me. There’s a damaged soul to go along with the FMC’s and then there’s the caring, silent type. All three men being exactly what Juliet needs, when she needs them. And the loving Grams who supports her girl, no matter what! All of them very protective! Would love if this world expanded into more books!

It was odd.

I've read some dark romance and some fucked up love stories but this weird.

Lots of potential but no depth.

Anthony made my skiing itchy, Malice has issues that suddenly resolve themselves through no character development and William is spineless.

It wasn't terrible, like I'll read the rest but it was lacking in character development, smut and plot.

****Spoilers****
Was the plot of this book girl gets railed 3 times and steals a necklace because I see no other story here.

To be honest, I was underwhelmed. Characters were done poorly, Nicolas (Malice) doesn’t seem convincing as a character. At least Juliet had some character development. Vicky is selfish and could do anything to get what she wanted, one of the plot lines is two friends dealing with grief in an unconventional friendship…

Sometimes the book dragged, most of the time I was bored, but it’s pretty hard to find a decent quality writing style mafia romance, so it’s not a first.
