Anthony's character threw me off midway because he wasn't introduced properly and my whole mindset had to shift. Plus the other characters seemed to lose their depth and complexity. (It kinda felt like their backstory wasn't fully developed during the writing process.)
Overall, strong beginning, but it fell flat for me.

This is a good book. Well written but very dark. The only thing I don’t like is that all of the men aren’t equal. I don’t like that malice is the boss and the boss of all 3 of there relationships.
Graphic: Body horror, Death, Emotional abuse, Sexual assault, Kidnapping, Stalking, Death of parent, Murder, Toxic friendship, Abandonment
*3.5 stars.
I mostly enjoyed this story but it fell a little flat for me in some areas.
The plot was a little weaker than I would have wanted, and the relationship felt a little rushed and the dynamics felt off. Usually RH have a bit more of a natural flow or even a outright discussion on boundaries, but this one was lacking that a little for me. I was also not always a fan of Nicholas aka “Malice” and William kind of faded into the background in the relationship at times.
I also felt bad for Vicky, I don’t think I like where that aspect of the plot went in the end and it felt unnecessary. The author did her dirty and I would have preferred if the female friendship was treated better as it doesn't always have to be a choice between romantic relationships and friendships.
That said, I did overall enjoy my time reading and would read from the author again.
