I definitely enjoy the prose of this one a bit more and the couple is great. Felix and Marshall are great together and I love the demi rep. I was just frustrated with the lack of communication bc I feel like 90% of the book could've cleared up so fast. I get that's kinda the point but after the last one I felt like I really wanted them to grow in their relationship instead of being confused theyre in one.

Felix and Marshall!
These two were sweet but this book missed the mark for me. They could not communicate with each other which is not a trope I enjoy.

mutual pinning + a lot of miscommunication. ~ review contains a bit of spoilers?
I rated it a 3.5 and basically rounded it up to a 4, it wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worse.
I really tried to love this, but there was so much miscommunication going on that it felt frustrating to read it and it even got to the point where I almost dropped this book. Despite all of this, it was cute. I liked when they got along and were actually communicating. I did love all the cuddling and the height/built difference between the two as well as their relationships with their friends and family.
(slight spoilers?/a rant lol)
Marshall mentions something about how Felix was so oblivious to his feelings, and I just sat there for a minute taking a break because it was so frustrating. The reason he’s oblivious is because there’s no communication going on !? He’ll mention not wanting to have sex (and that’s ok) but doesn’t explain or saying anything else. Obliviously Felix is going to misunderstanding and be “oblivious”?? And Felix jumped to so many conclusions too, would say they weren’t dating and then get upset because Marshall didn’t correct him.

Felix and Marshall!! Once Saxon announced that these two were going to get together in this book, I couldn’t wait to read it and boy did it live up to expectations!
Felix Andrews has a reputation around Franklin University but he’s making a change this year and looking for a boyfriend instead of another hookup. Felix is outspoken, unafraid to be himself in every way and has a huge personality. He likes attention but feels a little lost without some reassurance. He can’t get a read on Marshall and doesn’t know what to do with him, something he’s not used to at all.
Marshall Harrows is the sweetest cinnamon roll man I’ve read in a while - he’s so caring and careful about everything but always feels like an afterthought. He’s thoughtful, sweet, bumbling and a little awkward but incredibly lovable. While he’s inexperienced, he knows that Felix is something special and their connection needs to be nurtured, he just always questions how to do it right.
After a disastrous first date where nothing goes right for Marshall and Felix feels rejected, they end up as (awkward) housemates and even get set up on more blind dates with each other. They’re totally each other’s type and would be perfect for each other if they just sat down and talked things out. Miscommunication and lack of communication is everywhere in this book but I found myself not minding as much as I thought because these two are ADORABLE together and separate. Once they finally talk things out and stop making assumptions, they’re so sweet together - Marshall makes Felix feel worthy of love and Felix makes Marshall the center of his attention…everything they needed all along.
Loved, loved, loved the cameos by Robbie + Brandon and Griff + Heath - they made this whole story even better and of course even more funny. And I’m crossing my fingers and toes that Eden Finley will write something for Brady, that sweet, sweet man! The epilogue was the biggest treat and I hope it’s not the last we’ll see of Fe and Marshmallow - I love these two so much!
