Devour The Dark

Nikki St. Crowe

3.91 AVERAGE

Devour the Dark is the conclusion to Roc, Hook and Wendy romance. While I loved the story and learning more about Roc’s past I felt like it could have focused more on the romance between our three leads. The story was still good and I enjoyed this book and hoping to see more from these three in the future.

I was excited for this cast we had some new and returning favorites to narrate the story. Robert Hatchet, Shane East and Stella Hunter are our leads and their performances were amazing. Corvin King plays Vane and he was the perfect voice and what I imagined for his character. Roxelana Waters was new to me and I enjoyed her narration as Asha. Diontae Black and Curtis Michael Holland return as the twins from and were great. The audio was amazing and I loved the full cast.

I’m just a sucker for Peter Pan retellings, and these side quests have me in a chokehold

God how I love the entire series. All the Vicious Lost Boys and Peter Pan, Winnie, Wendy, HOOK, THE TWINS. I love them all. Vane and Roc have this place in my heart. The ending felt like a needed hug after all they went through. All the audiobooks are worth a listen! It was so much fun.

Wow—what an excellent sequel to Devourer of Men! Nikki St. Crowe continues to impress with the dark, seductive world of Neverland she’s built. I’m completely obsessed and honestly just want more!

The full cast narration brings everything to life in such a vivid way, and I loved diving deeper into Vane and Roc’s backstories. Every layer added made me even more invested in these characters.

And let’s talk about that dynamic between Hook, Roc, and Wendy—absolutely fire. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the emotional stakes are just as high as the heat level.

I truly hope we get even more stories from this deliciously twisted Neverland. I’m not ready to leave it behind!

Some fun new backstory for the characters, but the story was a bit underwhelming. Maybe if I’d read the first book again before this one I would’ve enjoyed it more. Since I didn’t, I think the short length made the pacing feel off.
It was still a pretty good time. I liked revisiting some of the old characters, and finally getting some Vane pov was cool. Also, there wasn’t a ton of spice in this one but what was there was excellent as per usual.

4.25/ 5 Stars!

I can't stress enough to listen to these books on audio!  The full cast is amazing with so many different point of views, you'll truly feel transported to Neverland.  I love how the plot keeps thickening and I'm fully intrigued.  I can't wait for the next release!  The spice is top tier as always, the chemistry between these three is amazing, and I just know we're up for more plot twists.
