It was kind of slow for me; I thought about giving up halfway through but I’m glad I finished it. I am excited to see the future of the Celaena/Nehemia friendship arc. If it weren’t so heavily raved about idk if I’d actually commit to reading the next books, but I like Celaena enough and believe everyone who says it picks up a couple books in that I think I’ll keep going.

Very good book. first 100 pages reminded me of one of my favorite series but it was just similiar enough to feel comfortable not like it was the same story.

Currently in my reread era! And I was worried I wouldn’t love these as much as the second time around but BOY was I wrong. It’s so fun knowing who celaena ends up being…and her story this early on. There is SO MUCH foreshadowing and little Easter eggs that Sarah drops. I am listening to it this time around and don’t love the narrators voice for Dorian but hey, it’s all still so good. Still give it 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
