This was a ok. I read it quickly and didn’t hate the characters. But it wasn’t great and I didn’t love them either. It was a little boring and totally predictable. But the ending ruined it for me.

I actually really liked this book when it first started but then it very quickly went downhill for me.

I never really connected with the characters so I didn’t really care all that much if they got together. And I was not impressed that the entire premise was based on a lie.

And then the ended sealed the deal. I really hated the ending, especially the twist and how it all played out. It didn’t feel like real life. And it was such a lazy way for everyone to find out. And he just got away with it? I don’t buy it. There were so many ways the beans could have gotten spilled and that’s what the author picked. I would have liked any other option better. I also was super irritated at Dominic and his complete abandonment. Even Shea’s reaction made me roll my eyes. Now you have a problem with any of it? And like you couldn’t see this coming? I struggled to feel sorry for her.

Also I super disliked them allowing her into the studio to have their make up play out over live radio. I can suspend disbelief with the best of them but come on. I rolled my eyes through the entire last few chapters. Also 3 months and they moved in together?

It just fell off the rails for me and it started out so good. Because man do I love me a good podcast. So I was super disappointed in the way it all ended it. I don’t understand why it went that way and I didn’t enjoy it.

first off, the editor on this could have done a better job because there are definitely some off-putting sentences. but also, the story doesn't work. there is no chemistry between the supposed couple, they don't feel like real people and even though the premise of the book sounds good it doesn't really deliver: what i wanted was to know what happened on air, how they get closer because of having to fake being exes etc... but that's not really the focus and it takes a bit to get there. i don't care about them so bye

Started this book because I just needed to good, easy read to get out of a slump, and it definitely delivered! Loved the audiobook, enjoyed reading it. Wished we got more on air scenes, but other than that I give a thumbs up. There were some cringy comments/parts but I didn’t mind that much.

I do have to say, the whole talking out what happened at the end LIVE to the public??? Could not be me. I actually hated that part until Dominic took out both headphones off. He was the best part of the book tbh, at one point I thought Shay didn’t deserve him until what he did at the end (which was pretty shitty but understandable in some ways)

This was cute and I devoured it! Good vibes only. Shay seemed a little much but I liked that she was a multifaceted character.
