This was simply a nice Christmas read. I read it as a filler, in-between a book about the Armenian genocide! So, it was pure escape. It is just a nice book with humor and love. Fanny Flagg is a favorite of mine. I wish she would write more. Fried Green Tomatoes was a book that made me laugh and cry. The quality of this book isn't the same as Fried Green -- but what can I say, I love Fanny!

PS -- And who wouldn't fall in love with a little girl like Patsy. Perhaps if you do wish for something really hard it does come true ;)
