This was a cute little Christmas book. It has a lot of heart in it. I'm not a bird fan, but couldn't help but fall in love with Jack as did the rest of Lost River. We all need to find a little community like Lost River to call home. The population of 108 really looks out for each other.

This is a cute little story, a quick fun read. Just what you want for a Christmas book. Enjoyable characters in a small town and an ending with a big bow tied on it (perhaps too easily).
This is not high literature and I had to keep telling myself to just go with the story, don't pick apart what could not happen.

Feel-good til tusen!

The sweetness of a Fannie Flagg book times the sweetness of the Christmas season, a bit too sweet for me.
I’d be interested in an essay comparing Fannie Flagg’s small towns vs. Shirley Jackson’s small towns, they’re such very different places
