This book certainly picked up from the previous two. The writing was also amazing by Stephen King, and as graphic as the details were, I found them to add so much to the book. Not too horrid where it's impossible to read but not to dull where you don't have any reactions. On top of this, it kept me on my toes for the entire part and I kept wanting to return to it. Overall, it might be my favorite of all of the parts so far. Excited to move onto to the next one! I recommend!

I knew what was coming and it still crushed my soul. King's lengthy and spot on descriptions truly helped in this situation. The book was heartbreaking and gut wrenching. It left me angry but wanting more.... exactly what you want a series to do.

Paul flashes back to the incident that gives him nightmares. Cold Mountain experiences another miracle. I have never wanted to hurt a character so bad as I did Percy Wetmore.

Stephen King unleashes his skill as a horror writer in this part. Delacroix's death is gruesome, and Percy is one of the most loathsome characters for doing that out of curiosity and vengeance. The title is a good warning, because the death is very visceral in description. The horror of having to kill another human for justice is palpable. It's a bit heart breaking, watching Percy tear away what little shred of hope Del had with the delusion of the Mouseville. A part of me can't help but wonder if that is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Disney World, which is also in Florida.

I knew this was going to be the hardest installment to get through, but my goodness, King's writing is so good
