This book really has it all, hot sex, sweet moments, angst, action, and great characters. I think Dex (and Sloan. And Ash. And Cael!) might be one of my very favorite book characters. Dex is just so funny and sweet and caring. Karaoke night, and really, any time Dex ends up drunk, is just fun times! The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars for me is that the action and descriptions got to be a bit much for me at times, but I totally love this series, and can't wait for book 3 next month.

If you enjoyed the first book, then this sequel will not disappoint. Sloane, Dex and the rest of their crew continue to try and find Isaac, now the mastermind behind the human hate group against shifters (aka Therians). As they navigate clues and evidence, these two MC's also try to manage their secret relationship.

Sloane is frustrating but understandably commitment phobic. Dex, the crazy jokester tries to play it cool, when it really just hurts his feelings. These two may not know if they're ready to be official boyfriends but they are quite hot under the sheets, despite the angst.

This is action dramedy at its best. The supporting cast continues to evolve and remain interesting; the overall story arc just starting to really develop. For me it will be a no brainer in reading the next installment.

Still, not bad, but not great. I'm having a bit of trouble connecting with these characters. I'm sure It'll happen as I learn more about them. I don't hate it. but I'm not in love with them either.

3.5 stars. I don't feel like Sloane's issues around Gabe were truly resolved. After the BJ scene with Dex and the dream, I was expecting Sloane to make some kind of grand gesture or something, and while I know he cared about Dex, he just didn't seem to feel as strongly, and I wish Dex wouldn't have been so nice about the whole thing.

Loved this second installment of the Thirds series. Dex is just a breath of fresh air. I love his attitude and fun nature. But he knows when to be serious. You can't help but love him.
