A lovely ending to a beautiful love story! I know, right?

Sunstone started off as entertaining for me, what also hooked me was the positive and healthy BDSM aspects and the LGBT representation.

As for the story... it dragged for me. I think the last volume went on too much, I wish Lisa would've just spit out that she liked Ali instead of dragging it out in story form. Although I can see where it's creative it's just boring and unnecessary for my tastes.

The series in general was a hit and miss, I also thought it was too cheesy at times. I do adore Ali and Lisa's relationship, they are adorable. The characters are definitely interesting and well written, it felt like at times you actually know these fictional characters.

REREAD 2019

I'm not entirely sure what I can say that I didn't say in the original review. It is short, but it wraps things up nicely. Yet again, I can't believe the story is over. I'm feeling hollow, and even the thought of [b:Sunstone Vol. 6|33307411|Sunstone Vol. 6|Stjepan Šejić|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1481429165s/33307411.jpg|54044031] being just around the corner doesn't help. Even with that soon to be in my hands, I know I will have to wait so long to get my hands on the next album, and then I have to wait again!
Yeah, Sejic has me hooked.

But returning to this album here, there is only one thing I want to say.
This album makes me smile to myself while reading, makes me think about my own life and choices, and it makes me cry a little.
The art is so amazing I can just sit and stare at it for minutes at a time. There are some beautiful pages in this book, and I'd recommend it to art-lovers just for that!

ORIGINAL REVIEW

I'm actually having some trouble believing this series is over.
Its been such an interesting read, and I feel that I know Ally and Lisa. I've been invested in their story from the start - which says something about Sejic's characters.
Its also a great lovestory - and I don't normally like those!

Its been a h*ll of a ride, and I'm seriously sad its over.
But then I remember we'll probably see them again in the ''spin-offs'', and I breathe a sigh of relief.

I know this is a short review, but I don't know what there is to say.
This series is just amazing. The characters, the story, the art... I love it.
And this album... it was a great ending, and it wrapped everything up so nicely, and in a way I could really believe in.
Many stories has a rushed ending, and while this whole album was about wrapping things up, it was great.

Just read it!

Well... this one was probably the one of the most boring ones. I can't even find the words to describe how annoyed I was with both Ally and Lisa. It honestly put me off from reading and it took me a month to finish this volume.

Miscommunication and lack of communicating in romance is not a trope I live for. It just really makes me hate everything lmao. The comic could've been at least 50 pages shorter and nothing would be lost from the story imo but no, it just kept on dragging on and on. And Lisa saying her feelings through her stories was just... not it lmao. Not happy about this volume at all.

I started reading the series because I love the artist and for the smut. But I stayed for the characters - I loved the writing, the chemistry, the goofiness.
Also corny jokes about Sci fi, fantasy and sex? sign me in!

I can't explain how much I loved this graphic novel. I feel in love with it. I cried over it. I even had a good giggle (Anne in the g-novel is just what the doctor ordered).

I'M JUST TOO SAD IT'S OVEEEEERRRRR.

Thank you, Stjepan Šejić. Just... thank you.

Now it's my mission to read as much as Šejić's other work because his work is a real gem among graphic novels.
