If I reviewed this book based on the first half, it would be three stars. But that second half really made up for it.

Anna's naive opinions about love--Craig, really?!--were SO FRUSTRATING. I was 100% on board with every other character's surprise at her ability to fall in love over one conversation and a car battery jump. COME ON. But Anna was otherwise decently fabulous. I appreciated her character growth and recognition that she wasn't going to hide who she was, a nerd at heart, for anyone. Enter Marco. He salvaged Anna's naivety and added the intrigue of romance and sophistication.

Overall a fairly decent read, but it does incite some eye rolls early on.

fun predictable story

Predictable story, with fun references. Could have used more time with the younger sister. The lipstick would have been more interesting to see notes on.

The first half of the book drove me crazy and I found Anna to be annoying and almost did not finish. I kept going and enjoyed the last half as the relationship got going.

I will say I enjoyed the second half a lot more than the first half. The main character becomes a lot more likable and understandable. In the beginning I just found myself questioning all her life decisions and getting frustrated. The story was extremely predictable but I wanted to finish just to make sure.
