I didn’t realise it was the second book till half way in (it was a present). That in addition to the politics I didn’t care about didn’t give me much hope. I actually liked the characters and the prospects but just couldn’t find it in me to finish it.

Another funny book to add to this series of books! I would have liked to rate this higher, but the pacing of the book just felt off to me?? Still a cute and fun book to read

I think the first in the series was better, though I did enjoy the ending of this one quite a bit! The distinction between pirates and witches was honestly kind of confusing, though I think it was meant to be. The spice in this one was unexpectedly good! A fun little cozy Romantasy!

So far, I really enjoy this series. It's fantasy adventure romance, but it's lighthearted and low stakes. The humor also is spot on for me. I'm looking forward to the final book in the series.
