The Prince (Masterpiece Duet #0.5) by Skye Warren – If you love a tragic backstory, I think these two qualify! Happy Reading!

Intriguing, can't wait for the next read -The King

You know it's the beginning of a great story when such a short novela can capture your attention. I was impressed by this short story. I wasn't even done with it when I bought the next book!

I love the Tanglewood characters and their antics.
I'm very excited to finally hear more about Damon, and what his story is!

I always wondered if we would learn about the mysterious Damon. I wondered if we would learn the story of the girl in the pool.

It seems everyone has a price just as everyone has a story. The Prince is the tease to get you invested in the next part of this story. I can't wait to learn more. I NEED to know more. I want it all. I want to see just what is in store.

Very much a 5 chapter prologue to the Masterpiece Duet series. It's an introduction to Penny and Damon as children so not a romance, and truthfully I haven't read enough by Skye Warren to truly be intrigued to pick up the actual series.

This was a good short story & has made me look forward to more about Penny.

Penny has it tough as a kid, loses a parent & has a lackluster one take it's place. While she is 7 years old and her only surviving parent is on a 2 week bender she meets Damon. Events transpire and Damon leaves and doesn't come back. She was sad and guilty about what happened for some time. The story ends when she is 15 and things are mostly better until Damon reappears.

Give it a try ... now on to the next book!

What a teaser. It introduces the characters and gives just enough to leave the reader intrigued and chomping at the bit to get their hands The King. I for one am looking forward to seeing what happens next.
