love the twists

This was a very enjoyable read with twist I didn’t see coming at all. The relationship between mother and daughter is just so palatable.

Holy cow is this a rollercoaster of a book. I went into it blind and I think that’s the best way to approach it because of the way the plot sprinkles things at you throughout. There are some heavy and horrific themes in the book, but it doesn’t go into a ton of detail (which I really appreciate).

I recommend this to anyone who likes psychological thrillers. While some parts of the book’s events I could figure out, there were still large parts that left my mouth hanging open!

Great story telling. Super dark and twisted. Kept me turning the pages while my stomach was in knots.

Kindle and Audible.

Had you guessing who the crazy one was throughout the book.

Loved the voice narrator on Audible.

Good plot and I enjoyed the writing of the author overall but had things I would have preferred left out - minor being groomed and dating an older man. Very small part of the book overall but still wasn’t enjoyable to read.

Devoured this in a day. Gloriously unhinged. Can’t say I was surprised at what was going to happen at some points (hence taking off a star) but it’s written in such a way that it still sucks you in and has you questioning yourself on who is the worst out of the pair of them. Definitely worth the read.

Another absolutely addictive page turner from John Marrs. He’s quite skilled at writing these clever twisty psychological thrillers!
