Voy a destacar lo malo porque, en cuanto a lo bueno, el libro lleva a buen puerto la premisa diría que de forma sobresaliente. En otras palabras: lo que hace lo hace bastante bien. 

Conceptos interesantes aunque, bajo mi punto de vista, el autor hace un intento de tratar las culturas Occidental (esto es, el pensamiento ilustrado y platónico) y Oriental (esto es, la cultura china en detrimento de la diversidad oriental) como construcciones estancas y que no se encuentran sujetas al cambio a través del tiempo (y mucho menos susceptibles de comunicarse entre ellas), de manera que cabe preguntarse con que fin se pretende establecer esta comparación reduccionista que concluye nada menos que en una suerte de antagonismo dual.

También da la impresión de cierta actitud preferente a lo oriental como superación de la cultura occidental, dando la impresión de que la "Esencia" atribuida a Occidente es un agente de atraso. Al menos, en este sentido, el autor admite la necesidad de una democracia shanzhai. 

Un autor que seguiré explorando para tratar de completar el puzzle de su pensamiento. No descarto que en realidad este pequeño libro no pretenda ser más que una charla distendida sobre en qué aspectos diverge el desarrollo filosófico occidental del oriental y por eso se deja a un lado las diversas capas de profundidad que he puesto de manifiesto anteriormente.

Shanzhai explores Chinese concepts revolving around the differences and what is shared between original and copy or fake and genuine. Han clearly and directly explains Chinese ideas of cyclical regeneration and renewal and their role in defining the Chinese view and opinions on originals and the realness of copies. The application of the ideas mostly focus on art. Han briefly branched off into a potentially interesting application of those ideas to Chinese politics, but sadly the book abruptly ends.

The kind of book that subtly reshapes your conception of the world. I'd never considered that the Western idea of 'original' and 'fake' are cultural constructs and that the Far East has a very different impression of these concepts - with none of the negative connotations we hold towards forgeries and copies in the West. The view that art is a collaborative and evolving thing other time with owners and connoisseurs being encouraged to leave their mark, rather than an finality signed off with the artist's signature is a completely different sense of what art is (and can be) to me. Has also given me a different view of the knock-off products made by Chinese manufacturers, which Byung-Chul Han are produced almost in conversation with the original products (although I think he overlooks the enormous R&D costs inherent in Electronics which allow these cheaper reproductions).

Pulling in Philosophy, Art History (the aside regarding the Dutch forger Han van Meegeren and his fake Vermeer's was particularly fascinating) and Linguistics, this very short book has more insight and interest than other works I've read multiple times larger. Very much recommended.

Hay que ser atrevido para llamar a Miguel Ángel "uno de los últimos chinos del renacimiento".
No se puede negar que Byung es uno de los filósofos contemporáneos más jugados, en cuanto a las temáticas de sus libros se trata. Ahí está su encanto.
Esto no es más que tomarse un café y charlar sobre el valor occidental dado a lo que se considera "original", deconstruyendo este concepto desde el renacimiento hasta hoy día. Esto por supuesto, apoyado en la visión y valorización oriental sobre las copias y los "fakes".
Una visión refrescante sobre el tema de la autoría para toda persona que defiende al "genio creador" a raja tabla.

Doğu ve Batı kültüründeki farkı; Çin'in dünyayı ele geçiren taklit" çakma" üretimleri üzerinden anlatıyor. Bizim standartın bir taklidi olarak gördüğümüz "çakma" ürünün çok daha özel görme üzerine, sanatın ve güzelliğin standart bir sabit mi yoksa evrimsel olarak gelişen- değişen bir süreç mi olduğuna dair iki kültürün farklılıklarına yoğunlaşıyor. Keşke biraz daha detaylı ve derinlere inseydi diye düşündüm onun dışında çok sevdiğim, farklı bir kitap oldu. Doğu kültürü ve Çin'den kaynakla yükselen taklit kavramı ilginizi çekiyorsa tavsiyedir.
