3.5. The book was well written and intriguing. The pacing felt off though. Very little happened in the beginning and then a lot happens in the last 30 or so pages and then it ended abruptly. It was a great concept though and I'm interested in more from this author!

I’m honestly not sure how I feel about this one. The story was great and incredibly well written. However, I feel like there were a few plot holes, seemingly from our unreliable narrator, and paired with the ambiguous ending, it was difficult to feel a sense of closure with the story.
I know you eat things you’re not supposed to eat, too. I know what it’s like to love something so much you have to eat it.
My bf had to hold my hand while I read the last 50 pages because I was so tense. I refused to go to sleep before I finished it
Did not like the main character, but the book did have some good plot twists, even though they were kind of predictable. Still overall an easy to read book.
