THIS MADE ME CRY. This is probably my favorite volume in the BH universe so far, and I feel like it could be read completely on it's own without any knowledge of the rest of the series. It was beautifully written, beautifully drawn/colored and I'll probably recommend this one to many people.

I've got a soft spot for origin stories. Plus it's a poignant father and son story. Two thumbs up.

I went into this not sure if I cared about another side story in this universe. Well, that was a stupid train of thought because it was incredible.
It could have been a standalone story in any universe or taken place in any plane of reality. Good writing is good writing. And this is some seriously fucking good writing. As usual.

Wow, such feels. Seriously though, this is a fantastic, quick read. I'm really enjoying the world of Black Hammer.
Great artwork too.
I'm a sucker for anything to do with time travel and relativity. That was some really powerful stuff. Nice Green Lantern reference too
Great artwork too.

Another strong issue in the Black Hammer universe. More dramatic this time, more emotional, we get a glimpse of others Lemire work, with the father and son relation and family issues (a theme quite recurring in his work) and I really enjoy that. Very good!
