Boring. The plot had potential, but completely failed. No reason to like the characters, they have no bond, just lust. But even the sex scenes were boring. Not to mention the consent issues. When they finally got together, it was super rapey. By their third (maybe second?) time together, the recently-deflowered heroine was suddenly really proficient at sex. Whaaa?
There was a lot of background stuff set up but then never mentioned again. Every time you thought you were going to get some insight into one of them... nope.
The best part of this book was the dedication.

Entertaining, especially the second half. I had expected the footman plot to be more prominent though and I do feel that Dominic and Fallon's relationship was built more on lust than love.

Fallon begins working for the the Demon Duke, Dominic Hale. She disguises herself as a footman to avoid being mistreated. Dominic felt one dimensional, and I couldn't see any chemistry between Fallon and Dominic.

I didn't really know much about this going in, but I liked it ok! The characters are pretty aggressive bordering on non consensual sometimes, but there was decent banter and approaches to themes of forgiveness that I found intriguing enough to continue with. I wanted a bit more focus on that theme and getting to know the characters beyond the surface that I got, but all in all a good time.
