The last 30% of this book is what saved it for me. I was ready to give this a one star before the book switched perspectives because I honestly kind of hated the book. Mostly because I hated Millie lmao. She lacked so much common sense. Truly, I felt like I was yelling at someone making bad decisions in a horror movie 😂. The amount of times this girl was like “I probably shouldn’t say this” and then said it anyway. Or when she kept speaking Spanish to a man she thought was Italian. I had to keep pausing my audiobook because I needed a minute. That said it was great at evoking an emotional response from me. The ending was quite good and lived up to what I was expecting from the book. This was my first time reading a thriller and it wasn’t bad I just don’t know if I’ll continue with this series.
