This was a great palette cleanser, adorable. I love wholesome neighbors to lovers trope and this was a good example of that. The characters were fun and I enjoyed reading.

CW: racial stereotypes for the Orcs
MOOD: lighthearted, funny
TROPES: meet cute, instalove, breeding k*nk
FAV QUOTE: This harsh Orc that others run screaming from—I want to run toward him and ask him out to coffee.

Note: I finished this on 2/20/2023 but didn't get a chance to review it until 3/4/2023 and the racial stereotypes for the Orcs is bothering me more and more. When I hear people say "you shouldn't read monster romances because they're racist," this is an example. I have adjusted my original rating and won't revisit this author again.

THE GOOD: I likemonster novellas and obsessive/stalker-ish characters. Nice, cute, predictable plot.
THE NEUTRAL: I'd expect spicier scenes with a breeding k*nk involved.
THE MEH: The Wild orcs steal their brides in the dead of winter - which by itself was a humorous idea that was repeated to show the MMC's struggle with the FMC. However, combined with Orcs being separated, integrating into Human areas, only having Orc sons who repeat the bride stealing pattern, and having their neighbors hate them (for no reason) & scream around them (to draw attention/police) - these are not the vibes we're looking for. Also, I saw another reviewer call it Christian propaganda and I can definitely see that too.

This was an interesting read.  I really struggled with the repetition of information in the first few chapters.  The story progressed just as I expected.  It was spicy with a lot of description. Overall, a quick read and I will definitely read more.
