Short & Sweet

Very cute & easy read! Only took me like an hour to finish but I loooove instalove stories and this couple is literally so cute!

Okay, I knew going in that this wasn’t going to be a literary masterpiece. But this was a cutie little novella that was super short, sweet, and just what I expected.

I learned so much about orcs

This was good. I felt it was a little redundant in the explanations of how things work (orcs take their brides during the winter) but overall I enjoyed the characters and the story was funny.

specific writing style aside that is not to my personal reading taste, but made sense for this type of story, this story really did the most to show how problematic monster romance can be when white saviorism and "othering" is used a contrast to the orc character. i live-tweeted some of my reading and what i encountered in the first few pages, and i finished it to talk to my book club about, but off. not recommended.
