This book is technically great. It shows how much Sanderson cared about every little detail from the very first installment. So many twists and turns, but they all make sense. I think the 4.4 rating here says it all about how well crafted it is. So I'm going to just list what bothered me in this series / books

The writing style .. I don't like Sanderson style, it's all about ideas and actions, no feeling. It's narration and telling, without showing. I never felt the love between Vin and Elend, but I was told about it. And then out of the blue, I'm also told they have this "connection" ... hmm .. where? how? They seem so cold with each other. They have no intimacy.

I've read five of Sanderson's books at this point, and They're really well thought, well set. but they all left me cold and desperate to get attached to any of the characters. Unpopular opinion here, Elantris was his best work, character wise IMO.

The repetition. This books is 700+ pages. It could've been less, much less.

Vin... I really don't like her.. and I can't put my finger on why. she seems perfect on paper. Maybe it goes back to how much cold the writing is.

Wow. What an amazing end to the series! Loved how things tied together, with things reaching all the way back to the beginning of the series, and I loved how things revealed themselves and various mysteries resolved themselves (The Hero of Ages... wow! Not who I thought!?)

I thought the end third of the book was really exciting and gripping, but I felt it was quite slow to start with, and some of the subplots getting there were annoying. I liked Spook's adventures in Urteau but parts of it annoyed me as well and I wasn't sure about teh point of it all.

I really liked the introductory sections to each chapter in this book. In the previous two books we've had extracts from Alendi and Kwaan's diaries, but this time it was written by the Hero of Ages themselves and was really interesting to read and get so much more information about the world and the history of it and Rashek and Ruin and everything.

Overall, a really great read and great ending to the Mistborn trilogy. I know there are more books after this but I think I'll take a little break to read something else before I dip into them.
